THE ALDANO COLLECTIVE
Withold
Censoring their meals, they
Calculate
Every calorie to
Hunger, then hollow
From my screen, I,
I turn away
No point
Seeing horror
After gym I,
I hit the scales
Angry that
The news was fake
And they growl
Our stomachs growl
Our hunger howls
And land dries out
And they growl
Our stomachs growl
Our hunger howls
And land dries out
Calibrate disaster
Hunger’s not spectacular
Nothing’s wrong with Gaza
Nothing to see there
And they growl
Our stomachs growl
Our hunger howls
And land dries out
And they growl
Our stomachs growl
Our hunger howls
And land dries out
Hunger
What way to win
Hunger
No food gets in
Hunger
Consumes humans
Hunger
Apocalypse
Hunger
Genocide by rites
Hunger
Is a war crime
Hunger
Don’t criticize
Hunger
Die
I am loyal, I am a friend
I avoid all arguments
My weapons are for self defense
Maximize our budget spend
And they growl
Our stomachs growl
Our hunger howls
As land dries out
And they growl
Our stomachs growl
Our hunger howls
As land dries out
Hunger
What way to win
Hunger
No food gets in
Hunger
Consumes humans
Hunger
Apocalypse
Hunger
Genocide by rites
Hunger
Is a war crime
Hunger
Don’t criticize
Hunger
Die
And if you’re afraid to think
This might be wrong then come on
What are you to do, right
Just some country,
Just some plight and besides
Isn’t this a thing of two sides?
Or is it a thing of apartheid?
I can’t think, I need to be online
Get my Theo Vonn on
Let’s laugh some at life
Why so serious, you know?
Hey, come, why so serious bro?
The modern authoritarian says
Just look away, and we do
The modern authoritarian says
I’ll buy you, your people too
The modern authoritarian’s creating
A tourist friendly autocracy, baby
Swipe left, swipe right,
Wipe a country from your screen
Eat right, burp left
Order, order, zombie
Late-stage wealth dines on itself with capsicum
Dessert’s served up as end times fascism
There’s no need for oppression
When you’re open to pleasure
Look away, get high, jerk off, chin up
Look, you’re ok, smoke more mind the gulag
We took our point of departure to be the state of food censorship. While the UK’s stance has been problematic all along, several UK media outlets could not but do diligence to their duty as journalists and covered the forced starvations as of some months back. Theirs were among the first images I saw, and I was overwrought. The song came from there, I guess, just days before you messaged me.
The track is not mastered but there should be enough limiting and compression on it to hold it together. It was done guerilla-style and our front person, Jammy, a social worker, managed to get time off today to record her vocals—with her phone—and send it to me. Friday 29 August 4:17pm.
