From "Wilcocks" to "Krotoa": The Name Changing Ceremony
These are images from Saturday, May 20, 2023, during the renaming ceremony of a building at Stellenbosch University, the oldest university that was historically reserved for white Afrikaans-speakers. This is where we work and where the Centre for Critical and Creative Thought is located. The building houses, among other university units, the Psychology and History Departments. The building used to be named after the psychologist and university manager, R.W. Wilcocks. It is now renamed Krotoa.
